Our Staff
Our teachers are dedicated and qualified early childhood teachers with a passion for working with young learners. They enjoy watching children discover the world around them and helping them develop their skills and confidence in learning. Every moment is an opportunity to learn, grow and expand, therefore they believe that the quality of education a person receives in early life is indispensable in bringing out that person’s potential for the rest of his or her life.
The Normandale Family Childcare’s philosophy and materials foster independence, confidence, and a love for learning, along with the inclusion of the emergent curriculum model. All of these provide the ideal combination of structure and freedom in the classroom. Our goal is to continue to assist in the learning process and development of children, as well as continue to grow professionally.
Ms. Mina
Ms. Mina, owner of the facility, has a BS Degree in Computer Science Engineering but decided after 15 years to pursue another beloved occupation – teaching!
She graduated and has completed her core Early Childhood Education at Saddleback College in California. She has experience working with infants and toddlers, at a Montessori School for many years. She enjoys educating and guiding young children and she chose to work with children because she loves kids and the positive energy reciprocated towards her. She enjoys helping children discover their world and is amazed at how much they develop and learn. Also, She is a great mother of a wonderful daughter.

Ms. Maryam
Ms. Maryam has experience working with infants and toddlers, at a Montessori School for many years. Ms.Maryam holds an Associate’s Degree from Grossmont College, in California, in Early Childhood Education.
She has taught children, birth to 6 years of age, for over seven years in both center-based and home-family-childcare programs.
She feels invigorated working with children – there is no dull moment when taking care of babies!
She is also a mother of two, and believes parenthood and teaching are two of the most important and rewarding experiences given in life.
